BLAST Slam III is bringing the fireworks back to Copenhagen! Ten of the world’s top Dota 2 teams will collide in an epic clash for their share of $1 million. This isn’t a warm-up but a proving ground for titans of the scene, and we can’t wait to watch it all unfold.
In this guide, you’ll find the full scoop on BLAST Slam III, including the schedule and format as well as our expert predictions for the event.
BLAST Slam III Schedule & Format
BLAST Slam III runs from May 5-11, 2025, at the BLAST Studio in Copenhagen, Denmark. The tournament will unfold across two stages, Group and Playoffs, with 10 pro Dota 2 teams battling for the lion’s share of the prize pool and bragging rights ahead of the Esports World Cup.
The Group Stage (May 5) will see teams split equally into two round-robin groups of five, competing in intense Bo1 matchups. Each team’s performance will determine how they are seeded in the single-elimination Playoffs bracket (May 6-11).
Group Stage winners will skip the queue and go to the Semifinals, while the runner-ups will seed into the Quarterfinals. The 3rd- and 4th-5th place finishers will start in Round 2 and Round 1, respectively. All the Playoffs games will be played as best-of-three, culminating with a best-of-five Grand Finals to crown the winner.

Tundra Esports
Tundra kicked off the year strong, taking 1st at FISSURE PLAYGROUND, 1st at Blast Slam II, 2nd at DreamLeague Season 25, and 2nd at PGL Wallachia Season 3. For a moment, it seemed nothing could slow them down. But then, star carry Dyrachyo departed, leaving a noticeable gap in the team’s game plan.
While Crystallis has stepped in to replace him, his farm-heavy approach clashes with Tundra’s previously aggressive tempo. Even so, their 3rd-place finishes at ESL One Raleigh and PGL Wallachia Season 4 prove Tundra is still a threat. If they can find their rhythm, this team may very well make a run for the BLAST Slam III crown.
Tundra Esports’ roster:
- Remco “Crystallis” Arets
- Bozhidar “bzm” Bogdanov
- Neta “33” Shapira (Captain)
- Martin “Saksa” Sazdov
- Matthew “Whitemon” Filemon
- David “MoonMeander” Tan (Coach)
PARIVISION
PARIVISION had a fantastic start to the year, carrying a ton of momentum into BLAST Slam III. Hot off a dominant 3-1 victory over Team Spirit at ESL One Raleigh, they followed it up with a 2nd place finish at PGL Wallachia Season 4, pushing juggernauts Team Liquid into a tight 2-3 series in the Grand Finals. These are all signs of a team hungry for the number-one spot.
As further proof of their form, PARIVISION also clinched 3rd at both FISSURE PLAYGROUND and DreamLeague Season 25. While the odds favor a top-4 (or even top-2) finish, their upset potential faces stern tests from Tundra and Team Spirit and will depend on playmakers Noone and Satanic performing at their peak.
PARIVISION’s roster:
- Alan “Satanic” Galliamov (On Loan)
- Volodymyr “Noone” Minenko
- Dmitrii “DM” Dorokhin
- Edgar “9Class” Naltankian
- Andrey “Dukalis” Kuropatkin (Captain)
- Filipe Astini “Astini” Ribeiro (Coach)
Team Liquid
Despite topping the Western European EPT regional rankings and winning last year’s The International, Team Liquid has been marred by inconsistency. That being said, their recent run at PGL Wallachia Season 4 offered some hope. With Nisha and miCKe in top form, Liquid outplayed Tundra 2-1 in the Quarterfinals and powered through Team Spirit 2-0 in the Semis.
Although they fell to PARIVISION in the Upper Final, they rebounded with a clean 2-0 win against Tundra in the Lower Final. This was before closing out the tournament with a 3-2 grudge match against PARIVISION in the Grand Final, narrowly avoiding a reverse sweep. If they can maintain this momentum, Liquid may be set to cause a massive upset at BLAST Slam III.
Team Liquid’s roster:
- Michael “m1CKe” Vu (Captain)
- Michał “Nisha” Jankowski
- Jonáš “SabeRLight” Volek
- Samuel “Boxi” Svahn
- Aydin “Insania” Sarkohi
- William “Blitz” Lee (Coach)
Team Spirit
Team Spirit has maintained a strong presence this year, posting respectable finishes at Tier 1 events. Much of this success stems from their star-studded lineup, with Yatoro’s return in January injecting renewed vigor alongside Collapse and Larl’s raw talent and versatility.
While Satanic’s loan to PARIVISION and Mira’s move to Aurora slightly shook up the roster, Spirit has stayed competitive. However, recent hiccups against rising threats like Team Tidebound at PGL Wallachia Season 4 show they’re far from being invincible.
Team Spirit’s roster:
- Muliarchuk “Yatoro” Illia
- Sigitov “Larl” Denis
- Khalilov “Collapse” Magomed
- Filin “rue” Alexander
- Naidenov “Miposhka” Iaroslav (Captain)
- Gaziev “Silent” Ayrat (Coach)
