Our Predictions For CDL 2025: Stage 4 Major
As the final stop before the 2025 CDL Championship, the Stage 4 Major should be one of the most intense tournaments of the year so far. Who will claim glory and punch their ticket to the Championship? Let’s take a look!
Important: These predictions reflect the perceived strength of teams based on historical trends and the latest available odds. This analysis should not be interpreted as betting advice. Past performance does not guarantee future outcomes. Always gamble responsibly.
Los Angeles Thieves
The Thieves enter Major 4 as clear favorites after dominating the 2025 CDL Regular Season with 440 points and a 76.2% match win rate (32-10). They’ve been the most consistent team on the circuit, finishing 2nd at the Stage 1 Major, 4th at Stage 2, and sweeping Vancouver Surge 4-0 to claim the Stage 3 title.
LA also has strong power ratings from CDL Metrics on Hardpoint (68.3% win rate), S&D (61.1%), and Control (84.1%). Add a star-studded roster featuring world champs Envoy and HyDra, and it’s no wonder why another Major win is firmly on the cards for the Thieves.
Team roster:
- Daniel “Ghosty” Rothe
- Dylan “Envoy” Hannon
- Paco “HyDra” Rusiewiez
- Thomas “Scrappy” Ernst
- Shane “ShAnE” McKerral (Coach)
Atlanta FaZe
Atlanta FaZe has carried over its dominant form from last year, locking in 2nd place in the CDL 2025 Regular Season standings. While a tough 2-3 loss to Miami Heretics led to a 5th-6th place finish at Major 3, they still came out swinging with back-to-back victories at Majors 1 and 2. Now, it looks like they’re back with a vengeance.
With a 75.6% match win rate (31-10) this season and high confidence ratings from CDL Metrics across all game modes, Atlanta FaZe is a reliable pick for a top four (if not top two) finish. The roster is absolutely cracked, too, with world champs Drazah, aBeZy, Cellium, and Simp being more than capable of lighting up the stage.
Team roster:
- Tyler “aBeZy” Pharris
- McArthur “Cellium” Jovel
- Chris “Simp” Lehr
- Zack “Drazah” Jordan
- James “Crowder” Crowder (Coach)
Toronto Ultra
Make no mistake, Toronto Ultra is no sleeper pick. They’re locked in at 3rd place on the CDL leaderboard with a 66.7% match win rate this season (28-14) and bagged back-to-back 3rd-place finishes at Majors 2 and 3, putting them well within striking distance of the Stage 4 title.
But the road to victory is anything but easy. OpTic Texas defied expectations with a dominant 3-0 sweep in the Qualifiers and appear ready to steamroll them again. Meanwhile, Miami Heretics are another rising threat, going undefeated in Qualifiers and fresh off a gritty 3-2 win over LA Thieves to lock in a spot at Champs.
Team roster:
- Tobias “CleanX” Jønsson
- Jamie “Insight” Craven
- Ben “Beans” McMellon
- Joseph “JoeDeceives” Romero
- Ryan “Flux” Oldfield (Coach)
