VALORANT Champions 2025 begins in Paris on Sept. 12, bringing together four of each VCT region’s top challengers to clash for a shot at a $1 million prize pool. With Stage 2 wrapping up and only one team destined to wear the crown, the frontrunners are finally starting to separate from the pack. Which VALORANT Teams Most Likely To Make Champs?

Here are the top teams from the Americas, China, EMEA, and APAC most likely to qualify for VALORANT Champs, breaking down why each roster is primed for a deep run.

Note: These rankings are based on Championship Point Standings on Aug. 5, 2025, and the minimum number of points secured at VCT Stage 2.

How Do Teams Qualify For VALORANT Champions?

Teams qualify by finishing in the top two of Stage 2 or by earning enough Championship Points throughout the VCT season. If a qualified team finishes top two in Stage 2, the slot goes to the next eligible team.

Best VALORANT Teams In The Americas

The following American teams have the best odds of making it to Champs.

G2 Esports

After a dominant season marked by victories at both VCT 2025: Americas Kickoff and Stage 2, plus impressive 2nd and 4th place finishes at VALORANT Masters Bangkok and Toronto, G2 have already punched their ticket to Paris. They enter Champs as the region’s clear favorite! Even with Leaf out due to health reasons, former FaZe, former broadcast talent, always flexing babybay has substituted for G2 for all of Stage 2 during their victory lap. Sure, they lost to Sentinels at the start of the stage, but the second coming of yay, Chamber one-trick supreme, babybay is dropping numbers your favourite NA duelist wishes they could.

G2 Esports roster:

  • Jonah “JonahP” Pulice
  • Trent “trent” Cairns
  • Jacob “valyn” Batio (IGL)
  • Nathan “leaf” Orf
  • Alexander “jawgemo” Mor
  • Andrej “babybay” Francisty (Substitute)
  • Josh “JoshRT” Lee (Coach)

Sentinels

Despite underwhelming international performances after TenZ’s departure, Sentinels secured back-to-back 2nd-place finishes at Americas Kickoff and Stage 2 to clinch their Champs spot. They’ll join G2 as NA’s second seed.

Sentinels roster:

  • Zachary “zekken” Patrone
  • Mohamed “johnqt” Ouarid (IGL)
  • Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro
  • Sean “bang” Bezerra
  • Marshall “N4RRATE” Massey
  • Adam “kaplan” Kaplan (Coach)

MIBR

Brazilian powerhouse MIBR sits 3rd in the VCT Americas standings, backed by 3rd-place finishes at Kickoff, Stage 1, and the Esports World Cup qualifiers. This team has had an otherworldy crashout though since that honeymoon period and currently sit just awaiting their fate. Despite being the highest placed team points wise behind SEN and G2, they missed playoffs for Stage 2. As long as none of the teams below them go on a run, they’ve still got around a 40% chance of fluking their way to champs if/when SEN and G2 take the top 2 spots in Stage 2.

MIBR roster:

  • Arthur “artzin” Araujo (IGL)
  • Eduardo “xenom” Soeiro
  • Gabriel “cortezia” Cortez
  • Erick “aspas” Santos
  • Andrew “Verno” Maust
  • Daniel “fRoD” Montaner (Coach)

KRÜ Esports

Despite having a shaky record, KRÜ Esports sits 4th in the Americas standings and has qualified for Champs every year, positioning them to advance again. That puts the nearly all-Chilean side ahead of even the region’s more stable lineups. They’re in a similar spot to MIBR in that they really haven’t looked all that impressive and are kind of banking on the misfortune of the other americas teams, but unlike MIBR, they at least get some agency in it, by making playoffs in the first place.

KRÜ Esports roster:

  • Marco “Melser” Amaro (IGL)
  • Angelo “keznit” Mori
  • Fabian “Shyy” Usnayo
  • Roberto “Mazino” Rivas
  • Jesús “Dantedeu5” Larrosa
  • Jorge “Atom” Siero (Coach)

Best VALORANT Teams In China

Meet the Chinese teams most likely to qualify for VALORANT Champions.

XLG Esports

After a rough start at Kickoffs, XLG bounced back with a convincing victory in Stage 1. Now tied 1st with EDG in the China VCT standings, they closed Stage 2 Groups with a 4-1 record alongside BLG. With both points and placement on their side, XLG is well-positioned to grab a spot at Champs.

XLG Esports roster:

  • Arthur “Rarga” Churyumov
  • Deng “happywei” Min-wei
  • Colin “coconut” Chung
  • Lifan “Viva” Ran (IGL)
  • James “NoMan” Man
  • Aleksandr “hvoya” Eremin (Coach)

EDward Gaming

EDG seems set to defend their Champs 2024 title. Tied 1st in China with XLG, they’ve secured a Stage 2 Playoff spot and remain strong contenders. Their deep run at Masters Bangkok boosted their Championship Points tally, making qualification for Paris highly likely—even if they fall short of a top-two finish.

EDward Gaming roster:

  • Wan “CHICHOO” Shunzhi
  • Wang “nobody” Senxu (IGL)
  • Zheng “ZmjjKK” Yongkang
  • Zhang “Smoggy” Zhao
  • Zhang “zjc” Juncheng
  • Tang “Muggle” Shijun (Coach)

Bilibili Gaming

A titan in the Chinese VCT circuit, it’s hard not to imagine BLG at Champs. The team looks unstoppable, ranking 2nd in the VCT standings and going 4-1 at Stage 2 to secure a Semifinals spot.

Bilibili Gaming roster:

  • Wang “whz” Haozhe
  • Liu “Knight” Yuxiang
  • Lu “Levius” Yinzhong
  • Marcus “nephh” Tan (IGL)
  • Wang “rushia” Xiaojie
  • Lee “bail” Sung-jae (Coach)

Dragon Ranger Gaming

With Wolves out of Stage 2, there was a chance that final pick could be Trace. But, despite some strong showings from Trace that let them get into playoffs on the loser’s side, an unfortunate first round paring with EDG clipped their run before they could get far enough in playoffs to make any headway. Dragon Ranger Gaming needed to go on a run to take out the China based Wolverhampton reps, and now sitting pretty in the Upper Bracket Finals, the run has been secured. Wolves are out of the running, with DRG taking the 4th slot, and a chance at qualifying through playoffs on their own.

Wolves Esports roster:

  • Shao “Nicc” Yi-chun
  • Ilya “vo0kashu” Ushakov
  • Lin “SpiritZ1” Ding-yu
  • Cheng “Cangshu” Yu-chun
  • Luo “Flex1n” Rui
  • Wang “Ying” Chenxu
  • Fang “baize” Bai
  • Zhang “Akeman” Haoran

Best VALORANT Teams In EMEA

These EMEA teams are on track to qualify for VALORANT Champions 2025.

Fnatic

While the EMEA Kickoff didn’t go as planned, Fnatic found their stride by triumphing at Stage 1 and finishing 2nd place at both Masters Toronto and the Esports World Cup. They now sit comfortably atop the regional standings with a 17-point lead that all but locks in their spot at Champs.

Fnatic roster:

  • Jake “Boaster” Howlett (IGL)
  • Emir “Alfajer” Ali Beder
  • Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov
  • Kajetan “kaajak” Haremski
  • Austin “crashies” Roberts
  • Milan “Milan” de Meij (Coach)

Team Heretics

Toronto was a misstep, but Heretics finally ended their finals curse at the Esports World Cup with an insane 3-2 reverse sweep on Fnatic to take 1st place. Add that to a 3rd-place finish at Kickoff, 2nd at Stage 1, and an unbeaten 3-0 run in Stage 2 Groups—and it’s clear they’re on a direct path to Champs.

Team Heretics roster:

  • Ričardas “Boo” Lukaševičius (IGL)
  • Benjy “benjyfishy” Fish
  • Dominykas “MiniBoo” Lukaševičius
  • Enes “RieNs” Ecirli
  • Mert “Wo0t” Alkan
  • Neil “neilzinho” Finlay (Coach)

Team Liquid

With a 3rd-place ranking in the VCT EMEA standings, Team Liquid is well on track for Champs after securing 2nd at Kickoff and 3rd at Stage 1. They’re also tied with Fnatic as the top seed in the Stage 2 Group Stage, further solidifying their momentum heading into Paris. The addition of trexx, formerly of Vitality has given this team an even stronger push for number 1.

Team Liquid roster:

  • Ayaz “nAts” Akhmetshin (IGL)
  • Georgio “keiko” Sanassy
  • Kamil “kamo” Frąckowiak
  • Patryk “paTiTek” Fabrowski
  • Nikita “trexx” Cherednichenko
  • Ivo “LohaN” Albino (Coach)

BBL Esports

Our last pick was a tough call. Despite a strong start, Team Vitality’s superteam crashed out, prompting us to shift our focus to BBL. They’re tied 5th with FUT at 6 points and are expected to make the Stage 2 Playoffs upper bracket, potentially giving them the boost they need to qualify for Champs. Its do or die for both in Playoffs, whichever team comes out ahead is going to break down the 4th place tie.

BBL Esports roster:

  • Elias “Jamppi” Olkkonen (IGL)
  • Volkan “sociablEE” Yonal
  • Dawid “PROFEK” Święć
  • Burak “LewN” Alkan
  • Martin “MAGNUM” Penkov
  • Gregor “PAL” Morton (Coach)

Best VALORANT Teams In Pacific

These Pacific teams are the top contenders for a spot at VALORANT Champions.

Paper Rex

Despite placing 7th-8th at the Pacific Kickoff, Paper Rex currently leads the VCT regional standings with 14 points. They also have a guaranteed spot in the Stage 2 Playoff upper bracket, which pretty much locks in their spot as strong favorites at Champs.

Paper Rex roster:

  • Khalish “d4v41” Rusyaidee
  • Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto (IGL)
  • Ilia “something” Petrov
  • Wang “Jinggg” Jing Jie
  • Patrick “PatMen” Mendoza
  • Alexandre “alecks” Sallé (Coach)

TALON

Gen.G, earlier in the season would usually occupy this spot alongside the rest of the Korean teams, but later into the season, everyone’s favourite Red Light / Green Light team have managed to ride that 50% battering average right to the end. They finally broke free of the ups and downs to get 2 back to back wins in playoffs to make the Upper Bracket Finals, which should mean on points that we’ll be seeing them in Paris.

TALON roster:

  • Thanamethk “Crws” Mahatthananuyut (IGL)
  • Jittana “JitboyS” Nokngam
  • Papaphat “Primmie” Sriprapha
  • Anupong “thyy” Preamsak
  • Tanate “killua” Teerasawad
  • Hector “FrosT” Rosario (Coach)

DRX

Korean titans DRX are ranked 3rd in the VCT Pacific standings and are practically guaranteed a spot in the Stage 2 Playoffs upper bracket. This should hopefully give them enough points to lock in a spot at Champs for the fourth year straight.

DRX roster:

  • Kim “MaKo” Myeong-gwan (IGL)
  • Cho “Flashback” Min-hyuk
  • No “free1ng” Ha-jun
  • Song “HYUNMIN” Hyun-min
  • Park “Estrella” Gun
  • Pyeon “termi” Seon-ho (Coach)

T1

T1 were on a tear, clinching 2nd at Kickoff and winning VALORANT Masters Bangkok with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over G2. While their Stage 1 performance was less than impressive, their early dominance kept them afloat in the VCT rankings and nearly claims them a spot at Champs—so long as they make a deep run in Stage 2.

T1 roster:

  • Kim “stax” Gu-taek (IGL)
  • Kim “Meteor” Tae-oh
  • Yu “BuZz” Byung-chul
  • Kang “DH” Dong-ho
  • Ham “iZu” Woo-Joo
  • Yoon “Autumn” Eu-teum (Coach)
