The FaZe Clan organization, established more than a decade ago, competes in multiple esports titles around the globe. When they’re playing in the biggest stadiums and competing against top-tier opposition, you can hear fans scream, “FaZeUp!” to cheer on these massively popular gaming teams.

Next up, we’ll give you some history of the club, an overview of each esports team for the organization, including all the players, followed by a FAQ.

FaZe Clan History

Let’s take a trip down memory lane with the highlights of FaZe Clan’s history.

The Birth of FaZe

The organization started as a Call of Duty group on May 30, 2010, and created the ILLCAMS Series featuring trickshot montages in early June 2010. The original FaZe logo wasn’t created until August of the same year. In 2011, FaZe’s YouTube presence grew, and it coincided with the first line of FaZe Clan apparel. Then, in the fall of 2012, the FaZe Clan YouTube channel reached the 1 million subscribers milestone.

Early History of FaZe

In 2013, the organization celebrated its YouTube channel reaching 2 million subscribers. This was also the first year FaZe Clan competed in Call of Duty with its original esports team. In March of the same year, the now-legendary FaZe Banks joined as manager.

2014 was a massive year for FaZe Clan, as they won their first Call of Duty Championship and created the New York FaZe House. In 2015, they hit 3 million subscribers on YouTube and expanded their content portfolio.

Esports Expansion Time

FaZe Clan moved to Los Angeles in 2016 and expanded into Counter-Strike and Overwatch. In 2017, they entered the PUBG esports scene. Their CSGO team also won four significant events, subsequently getting ranked first in the world.

FaZe didn’t slow down in 2018. It entered the Rainbow Six and FIFA scenes alongside an extremely popular Fortnite team — and even American rapper Lil Yachty (FaZe Boat) joined the crew.

2019-2023 FaZe Esports Accomplishments
