Alliance eSports Overview: Place Your Bets on Alliance

Alliance is a Swedish eSports organization that was created back in 2013. After a decade in the game, Alliance has established itself as a major force in the industry across a variety of games, including Dota 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and League of Legends. Known for their highly competitive players – such as Jonathan “Loda” Berg (who has over $20 million in career earnings) – and determination to succeed, Alliance will continue to play a key role in eSports for years to come.

History: 2013 – Now

The eSport Alliance group was founded by Team Razer and Alex Garfield at the start of 2013. The organization got off to an incredible start, winning the Aegis of Champions trophy at The International (2013). This sent shockwaves through the Dota 2 competitive scene and showed everyone that Alliance wasn’t just here to make up the numbers – they were here to win. During this initial first period of success, the team was headed by Jonathan “Loda” Berg, who has since gone on to become an Alliance legend and the present-day captain.

When 2016 rolled around, Alliance decided to become a player-owned company. The owners are:

  • Jonathan “Loda” Berg
  • Kelly Ong Xiao Wei
  • Henrik “AdmitalBulldog” Ahnberg

This was a unique and business-savvy move that worked out tremendously well. Alliance is now a high-value eSports organization with over $7,216,778 in winnings from 392 tournaments.

Since 2013, Alliance has won countless tournaments. In addition to this, they’ve also managed to achieve lots of hard-fought 2nd and 3rd place finishes in some of the world’s biggest eSports tournaments. Here are just some of Alliance’s biggest achievements:

  • 1st (PGL Showdown – Europe, Apex Legends) (2020)
  • 1st (Altel Cyber Games, Season 2, PUBG Mobile) (2020)
  • 1st (DreamLeague Season 12, Dota 2) (2019)
  • 1st (StarLadder i-League StarSeries, Season 1, Dota 2) (2019)
  • 1st (DreamLeague, Season 1, Dota 2) (2014)

Today, Alliance sits with an unbelievable selection of rosters, from Dota 2 to PUBG, which you can see here. Fans can also follow the group’s Instagram account and Twitter page to stay in the loop.

Alliance: Divisions, Games, Rosters

Although the group is known for various titles and also took its first steps in creating an Alliance CSGO team more recently, there are some games that the brand is more famous for. With that in mind, let’s run through Alliance’s main rosters.

Dota 2

Alliance is primarily known for its excellent Alliance Dota 2 roster that has won countless championships since 2013.

Gustav “s4” Magnusson (Captain)

A legendary Off Laner with over 10 years of professional gaming experience. “s4” has over $2,734,775 in career earnings.

Charlie “charlie” Arat

“charlie” is an excellent CARRY who has achieved 23 kills in a single match on two different occasions.

Ng “ChYuan” Kee Chyuan

“ChYuan” reached 11,000 MMR in 2022. He currently plays as Solo Middle.

Remus “ponlo” Goh

An experienced Support player from Singapore. “ponlo” joined Alliance in 2022 and is looking to finish his career with them.

Simon “Handsken” Haag

“Handsken” went pro in 2014 and is a player that the whole team can rely on.

Valorant

Next, there’s the Alliance Valorant roster, which was officially “benched” in 2022.

The last Valorant roster for Alliance consisted of Mathias “SEIDER” Seider, Nichlas “Nille” Busk, Claes “MALFOy” Søgaard, “Kodazy”, Albert “albert” Mikkelsen, Sigurd “Zik” Jensen, Enzo “Enzo” Mestari, Niels “luckeRRR” Jasiek, and Tautvydas “hype” Paldavicius.

It remains unclear whether the roster will return in the future or an entirely new lineup will be formed. For now, Allience’s focus remains primarily on Dota 2, as this is where they have experienced the most success.
