Bren Esports (BREN) is an eSports organization from the Philippines. Currently, Bren Esports competes in several different eSports sectors. This includes Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, PUBG, League of Legends, Valorant, CS: GO, and many more popular games.

The Bren Esports rosters are known for their gritty and determined style of play, always giving their best in local and international tournaments. Whenever they take part in an event, you know you’re going to see a fierce display. During its history, Bren Esports has competed in 43 tournaments, earning $393,920 in prize money along the way.

Bren Esports History: 2017 – Now

Bren Esports was founded back in 2017 by Bernard “Bren” Chong, a member of the Chong clan. After becoming an active eSports organization, Bren Esports quickly started creating rosters for different games, from CS: GO to Arena of Valor. The reason behind such a quick expansion was to become a dominant eSports force in the Philippines.

In terms of achievement, a defining moment for the brand came when it took home MSC Championship (2018). More recently, Bren Esports became the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M2 World Champion (2021) after successfully defeating Burmese Ghouls in the final game.

Bren Esports has also formed several different partnerships with big-name brands in the Philippines, such as ASUS Philippines and NOW Corporation. This has helped to boost the value and reach of the organization. Keep up to speed with Bren Esports by following the group’s Twitter and Instagram.

Bren Esports: Divisions, Games, Rosters

Now, let’s take a closer look at the different rosters that Bren Esports is currently deploying.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

Bren Esports is most known for its Mobile Legends: Bang Bang roster, which regularly competes in the MPL.

A talented Mobile Legends player who currently plays as an EXP Laner.

Vincent “Pandora” Unigo

Another EXP Lander for Bren eSports who went pro back in 2021.

Michael “KyleTzy” Sayson

A Jungler who won the MPL Philippines Season 10 Rookie of the Season (2022). “KyleTzy” is definitely a young talent worth looking out for over the coming years.

Angelo “Pheww” Arcange

“Pheww” is an experienced pro with several career honors to his name. Notably, he’s an MPL Philippines Hall of Legends inductee and was awarded Grand Final MVP after the MPL Philippines Season 2.

Marco “SUPER MARCO” Requitano

A young Gold Laner who joined Bren Esports in 2022.

Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo

“Owgwen” plays a Roamer for Bren Esports and joined in 2022.

Valorant

The Bren Esports Valorant roster was released in 2022 after consistent chops and changes. The final roster consisted of the following:

  • Boggs “Symbol” Ramos
  • Xavier “xavi8k” Juan
  • Zachary “BraiNfreeZe” Bajarias
  • Yousef “Hotsauz” El-Yousef
  • Eroll Jule “EJAY” Delfin

During its short history, the team managed to rack up some significant wins. For example, Bren Esports was the champion of the PVP Esports Final (2020).

Dota 2

The Bren Esports Dota brand gained positive attention in the media after forming an all-female Dota 2 team. However, in 2021, the roster officially disbanded.

At the time, the roster consisted of the following:

  • Johanna “Ligaya” Sta Maria
  • Hazel “Hezelya” Mata
  • Gillanne “Gill” Lumberio
  • Meeri “Meeri” Mindajao

In a statement by the team, they noted that “The Ride may have been a bit bumpy, but our Dota 2 team definitely made a statement in the scene”. It remains unknown what the future holds for Bren Esports and a potential new Dota 2 roster.
