This guide shares our expert betting predictions for the 2025 NFL season, covering every division and spotlighting the teams with the best odds to reach Super Bowl LX.

Note: Odds, implied probabilities, and preseason stats are accurate as of Aug. 28, 2025, and subject to change.

AFC

Here are our top NFL team picks for each division in the American Football Conference (AFC).

AFC North

The Baltimore Ravens are strong favorites to win the AFC North (-160 odds; ~62% implied). After clinching back-to-back division titles, they cruised through the preseason with a perfect 3-0 record and a +53 point differential—the best in the conference.

Two-time MVP Lamar Jackson leads an explosive offense, while All-Pro linebacker Roquan Smith anchors a defense that has conceded only 32 points. This early dominance suggests yet another heavyweight run in one of the NFL’s toughest divisions.

AFC East

The Buffalo Bills are predicted to win the AFC East (-350 odds; ~78% implied). With a projected 12-5 record, MVP Josh Allen remains the league’s most lethal quarterback. He led the Bills to their fifth consecutive division title (2020-24) and earned them 2nd in scoring (30.9 points per game) last year.

Allen accounted for 41 of the 63 total touchdowns while spearheading an attack supported by one of the NFL’s top offensive lines and coaches. The Bills also posted a league-best +24 turnover margin with 32 takeaways last year and added Joey Bosa to buff the pass rush.

AFC West

The Kansas City Chiefs are the favorites of the AFC West (-120 odds, ~55% implied). They’re on the hunt for a 10th straight division crown, something two-time MVP and three-time Super Bowl quarterback Patrick Mahomes would love to see. It doesn’t hurt, of course, that he’s boosted by celebrity tight end Travis Kelce and All-Pro defensive tackle Chris Jones.

Beyond that, the Chiefs’ first-round pick of offensive lineman Josh Simmons has already looked the part in the preseason. He’s expected to stabilize an offensive line that faltered during the demoralizing 40-22 loss against the Eagles in Super Bowl LIX.

AFC South

The Houston Texans are predicted to win the AFC South (+100, 50% implied) with a projected 10-7 record. They’re chasing a third consecutive title behind defensive ends Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter, widely regarded as the NFL’s most disruptive pass-rush tandem, combining for 23 sacks last season.

QB C.J. Stroud also looks ready to build on an impactful start to his NFL career, having thrown for 3,727 yards at a 63.2% completion rate with 20 touchdowns in 2024. With an upgraded offensive line protecting him, Houston’s balanced roster makes them a tough team to beat.

NFC

Here are our top NFL team picks for each division in the National Football Conference (NFC).

NFC North

The Detroit Lions are the NFC North’s top playoff contender (+155, ~39% implied), though the Green Bay Packers (+165 odds, ~38% implied) are on their heels. QB Jared Goff remains the centerpiece, coming off a career year with 37 touchdown passes (4th in the league) and 4,629 yards (2nd overall).

In addition, Aidan Hutchinson returns from injury after a strong start last season that had him trending for Defensive Player of the Year. They may have lost coordinators Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn, but the Lions still boast one of the NFL’s most talented rosters.

NFC East

The Philadelphia Eagles are the top picks to win the NFC East (-150 odds, 60% implied), and it all starts with QB Jalen Hurts. With a projected record of 11-6, the team’s offensive lineup will bring back 10 of 11 starters, including Saquon Barkley in the backfield.

Although the Eagles lost five defensive starters, they still feature Pro Bowl-level talent on all fronts. Combined with Hurts’ dual-threat ability and one of the NFL’s top-ranked defenses, the Eagles look primed for yet another Super Bowl title run.

NFC West

The San Francisco 49ers are our top pick for the NFC West (+160 odds, ~39% implied). Two years removed from a Super Bowl berth, QB Brock Purdy leads a loaded offense comprising Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle, and Trent Williams, who are all healthy and motivated after last year’s injury-riddled collapse.

What makes the 49ers especially dangerous, though, is their defense. Nick Bosa anchors a young, hungry defensive line, while Fred Warner remains a tackling machine (76 solo tackles in 2024) and field general in returning defensive coordinator Robert Saleh’s scheme.

NFC South

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the favorites (-110 odds, ~52% implied) to win a 5th straight NFC South title. Backing the odds is QB Baker Mayfield, who ranked 3rd in the NFL with 4,500 passing yards and tied 2nd with 41 touchdowns in 2024, keeping the Bucs’ offense among the league’s most dangerous.

Despite wide receivers Chris Godwin and Jalen McMillan only returning midseason, the Bucs’ forgiving closing schedule makes them favored over all division rivals. That said, the Falcons (+230 odds, ~30% implied) boosted their defense this offseason and could be surprise contenders if the Bucs slip.

Which NFL Teams Will Make Super Bowl 60?

The Philadelphia Eagles (+650) and Baltimore Ravens (+650) are co-favorites to reach Super Bowl LX. Tough schedules and injury risks aside, the defending champs have a favorable landscape, bringing back nearly their entire (10/11) offensive lineup from last year.

In particular, Jalen Hurts (Super Bowl LIX MVP) continues to command one of the NFL’s most efficient units, backed by an impressive defense. The Eagles are also favored to finally end the NFC East’s decades-long streak without a repeat winner.

Meanwhile, the Ravens enter off another AFC North title run in one of the NFL’s toughest divisions, powered by Jackson and a defense that suffocated opponents last season. Overall, both franchises have playoff-tested rosters and elite quarterbacks to fuel a deep run.
