The Top 5 Professional Fortnite Players

Share this post:

The chaotic battle royale action in Fortnite lends itself to a bit of luck and random occurrences that can spell victory or defeat even for the top Fortnite Players for players. At the top level, some players rise to the occasion repeatedly and showcase how their immense skills outweigh any of those out-of-nowhere elements.

In this article, we’re taking a look at a handful of those players who truly shine in Epic Games’ battle royale video game. We’ll share our insights into these tremendously skilled individuals, their current form, recent event placements, and performances in the FNCS alongside smaller events.

Please note: This article’s top five Fortnite pro player picks are based on the author’s opinion and do not necessarily align with all Thunderpick staff. And don’t forget to check out all the latest Fortnite betting odds at Thunderpick.

1. Kami

Michał “Kami” Kamiński is an 18-year-old professional Fortnite player from Poland and our pick as the best Fortnite pro in the world right now! Kami plays for Gaimin Gladiators and is the highest-earning Fortnite star in 2023, claiming approximately $385,697 in prize money this year.

He won the FNCS Invitational 2022 with Duos partner Iwo “Setty” Zając and dominated the competition at Gamers8 2023 in front of a roaring crowd to claim first place with Aleksy “Japko” Jabłoński from Twisted Minds.

If you are looking at the best Fortnite player in terms of form and precise gameplay, then it’s either Kami or Setty. We’ve chosen the former based on placement in solo cash cups as the deciding factor.

2. Setty

The 19-year-old Polish player Iwo “Setty” Zając, currently with Tundra Esports (previously from Become Legends), is undoubtedly one of the best ever to jump out of the Battle Bus. Setty has cemented himself alongside his Duos partner. Michał “Kami” Kamiński, as an unstoppable force in the past two years.

Notable placements include first at FNCS: Invitational 2022 with Kami, second at NCS: 2021 Grand Royale Europe with Kami and Teeq, and first at FNCS Chapter 2 Season 8 Grand Finals Europe with Kami and Teeq.

However, Setty shines most brightly in Duos, especially in front of a live crowd. Setty’s big-match temperament makes him thrive in high-pressure LAN environments. He’s earned more than $700,000 in his career thus far.

3. Th0masHD

At the start of Fortnite Chapter 2, Thomas “Th0masHD” Davidsen struggled a bit. The 21-year-old Danish star recovered in 2023, showing renewed form with Duos partner Danila “Malibuca” Yakovenko. Th0masHD has earned more than $1 million in prize money throughout his Fortnite career, and in 2023, he’s taken home approximately $232,780.

The Danish player, alongside his Duos partner, destroyed the competition in DreamHack Dallas 2023 and DreamHack Summer 2023, showcasing his recent return to form. With a second-place finish at FNCS 2023 Major 1: Europe Grand Finals and third at FNCS 2023 Major 2: Europe Grand Finals, one can almost sense Th0masHD’s hunger for another trophy! Based on his current form, there’s no stopping this Danish powerhouse.

4. Queasy

Hailing from Serbia, Aleksa “Queasy” Cvetkovic plays for Galaxy Racer alongside his partner Harry “Veno” Pearson. The 21-year-old has established himself as a top competitor in the past few years, with career earnings at approximately $933,745.

His performances of late have been tremendous, including claiming second place at the FNCS: Invitational 2022 in November 2022. Queasy and his Duos partner have gone from strength to strength with a respectable fourth-place finish at FNCS 2023 Major 1: Europe Grand Finals and winning the FNCS 2023 Major 2: Europe Grand Finals in style.

5. Veno

Harry “Veno” Pearson is Queasy’s Duos partner, and he is just as deserving to claim a spot in our top five as his teammate. As a 21-year-old pro from the United Kingdom, Veno plays for Monaco Esports and competes in most top-tier Fortnite tournaments in Europe and North America.

Recent performances include winning the FNCS 2023 Major 2: Europe Grand Finals with Queasy, placing fourth at FNCS 2023 Major 1: Europe Grand Finals, and second at the FNCS: Invitational 2022. Veno has previously seen success with partners Aqua and TaySon, but Veno’s performance has improved significantly alongside Queasy. With approximate career earnings of $738,256 and showcasing near-unstoppable form these days, Veno is our “one to watch” in 2023 and beyond.

Why Did We Choose These 5 Players?

Choosing the best players wasn’t easy. We looked at previous performances throughout the Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) in 2023 and considered other events such as Gamers8, DreamHack, and various in-game cash cups.

Individual players’ performances, the total prize money earned this year, and consistency all contribute to our decision to list these five players as the best in the world. Importantly, we considered current player form heading into the FNCS World Championship, watching the recent games of each player we considered for our top five list. We also looked at both American and European solo tournaments performances for these esports players.

Top Fortnite Pros: Honorable Mentions

You’ll find a list of the best 20 pros who narrowly didn’t make it into our top five picks, such as Dignitas legend Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf, one of the best Fortnite players of all time.

Only time will tell how well these gamers perform in next year’s FNCS tournaments. Based on their current form, there’s a strong chance you’ll see one of these players become the next Fortnite world champion.
