Our Predictions For VCT Champions Finals 2025
VALORANT Champions Paris has been wildly unpredictable. From shock upsets to closely contested finishes, the competition has shown exactly why it’s the VCT’s signature event. Not even the favorites are safe. Here are the teams we believe have what it takes to lift the trophy.
Important: These predictions reflect the perceived strength of teams based on historical trends and the latest available odds. This analysis should not be interpreted as betting advice. Past performance does not guarantee future outcomes. Always gamble responsibly.
Paper Rex
Paper Rex (#1 Pacific) were clear favorites going into Champs, boasting both Masters Toronto and Pacific Stage 2 trophies under their belt. And they’ve proven their staying power, opening Groups with a decisive 2-0 victory over XLG and pulling off a reverse sweep against GIANTX to lock in a Playoffs berth.
They further impressed fans by beating giants G2 Esports (#1 GPR) in a tightly contested series, before falling 1-2 to FNATIC in the Upper Semifinals. While PRX dispatched Team Heretics 2-1 in the Lower Round 2, a deep run won’t be easy. They start with a heavily favored matchup (59.74% no-vig) against DRX before a likely clash with NRG in the Lower Finals.
PRX’s something holds the third-highest rating (1.17) at Champs, trailing only FNC Alfajer (1.26) and MIBR aspas (1.33). With a 228.7 ACS and 51 First Kills, he has been a clear driver of PRX’s success. We hate to say “we told you so,” but our last prediction put Paper Rex as the team to beat at VALORANT Champions. Plus, who doesn’t want to see an FNC vs PRX Masters Toronto rematch?
Paper Rex roster
- Khalish “d4v41” Rusyaidee
- Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto (IGL)
- Ilia “something” Petrov
- Wang “Jinggg” Jing Jie
- Patrick “PatMen” Mendoza
- Alexandre “alecks” Sallé (Coach)

FNATIC
Despite ending Stage 2 ranked #7 on the GPR, FNATIC (#3 EMEA) has looked unstoppable at VALORANT Champions Paris. They practically cruised past Rex Regum Qeon (2-0) and MIBR (2-1) to claim the top seed in Groups before tearing through DRX (2-1) and Paper Rex (2-1) in the Playoffs (and yes, we called it).
Even with health concerns briefly sidelining him, Alfajer has returned in peak form, posting a monstrous 1.42 K/D and 163.4 ADR to remind everyone why he’s considered the “final boss” at Champs. Alongside him, kaajak and Chronicle are both tied for 5th in player ratings at 1.16, underscoring just how deep FNATIC’s firepower runs.
FNATIC roster
- Jake “Boaster” Howlett (IGL)
- Emir “Alfajer” Beder
- Timofey “Chronicle” Khromov
- Kajetan “kaajak” Haremski
- Austin “crashies” Roberts
- Milan “Milan” de Meij (Coach)

NRG
NRG (#2 Americas) entered Champs with a ton of momentum to burn, beating EDward Gaming (2-0) and DRX (2-1) in Groups. In the Playoffs, they proceeded to take down GIANTX (2-0) and MIBR (2-1), the latter being a nail-biting Semifinal marked by resilience and clutch plays over double overtime.
At 44% no-vig, the odds tilt narrowly against NRG, leaving FNATIC with an edge for the Grand Finals seat. Still, the team’s top playmaker brawk (1.10 rating) has proven pivotal on Sova and Vyse, posting 141.8 ADR and a strong 72% KAST. Meanwhile, mada brings explosive entry pacing and s0m anchors mid-rounds with reliable consistency.
That said, the red flags are real: a dismal 33% win rate on Haven (45% attack win rate, 42% defense), repeated reliance on overtime to close Abyss and Corrode, and shaky defensive halves across maps leave NRG vulnerable. To break through, they’ll need sharper mid-round calls and cleaner site holds to keep momentum on their side.
NRG roster
- Ethan “Ethan” Arnold (IGL)
- Sam “s0m” Oh
- Adam “mada” Pampuch
- Brock “brawk” Somerhalder
- Logan “skuba” Jenkins
- Malkolm “bonkar” Rench (Coach)
