Kicking things off is the EU Series #1. It will feature 24 teams fighting for their share of the $25,000 prize pool and, more importantly, a coveted spot in the Valve-sanctioned TWC 2025 Closed Qualifier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With so much on the line for the teams, the hype couldn\u2019t be higher. To prep fans for what\u2019s to come, we\u2019re taking a closer look at the organizations competing in the EU Series #1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong> <em>All <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hltv.org\/ranking\/teams\/2025\/april\/28\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>HLTV World Ranking<\/em><\/a><em> data is current as of April 28, 2025. We also mention the latest <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hltv.org\/valve-ranking\/teams\/2025\/may\/1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Valve Regional Standings (VRS)<\/em><\/a><em> for Europe.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>500<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>500 is ranked 46th globally, resulting in a direct invite to the TWC 2025 EU Series #1 Playoffs Stage. The squad, made up of Bulgarian players, recently benched SHiPZ and added REDSTAR as a stand-in. The esports organization is a subsidiary of 500 Casino, hence the team&#8217;s name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>CeRq<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>oxygeN<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rainwaker<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>REDSTAR<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SPELLAN<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>OG<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As one of the highest-ranked teams (28th) competing at the TWC 2025 EU Series #1, <a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.gl\/blog\/ence-overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OG<\/a> is a force on the server. You may recall that they finished 4th at the <a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.gl\/blog\/5-best-moments-from-twc-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">TWC 2024 LAN Finals<\/a>. And despite going through a recent slump, <a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.io\/blog\/og-overview\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"39\" title=\"OG Esports\">OG<\/a> has a strong chance of reaching the Grand Final of this event. It doesn\u2019t hurt that they added Danish star Nico &#8220;nicoodoz&#8221; Tamjidi to the roster on April 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Buzz<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chr1zN<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>F1KU<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>nicoodoz<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>spooke<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>BetBoom<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>BetBoom narrowly missed last year&#8217;s main event, finishing in 3rd\/4th place at the TWC 2024 EU Series #2. They are the highest-ranked team (25th) entering this event and received a direct invitation to the Playoffs Stage. With ex-<a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.io\/blog\/natus-vincere-overview\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"34\" title=\"Natus Vincere\">NAVI<\/a> IGL Kirill &#8220;Boombl4&#8221; Mikhaylov and Sergey &#8220;Ax1Le&#8221; Rykhtorov, acquired from <a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.io\/blog\/cloud9-overview\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"172\" title=\"Cloud9\">Cloud9<\/a> at the start of the year, we won&#8217;t be surprised if the team continues to climb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ax1Le<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Boombl4<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Magnojez<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>S1ren<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>zorte<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>fnatic<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Many CS2 fans believe the current <a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.gl\/blog\/fnatic-overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fnatic<\/a> roster is underranked (39th globally). Why? Well, the team features Swedish legend Freddy &#8220;KRIMZ&#8221; Johansson, who\u2019s a two-time Major Championship winner, and Danish powerhouse Benjamin &#8220;blameF&#8221; Bremer. Because of their VRS ranking (38th), <a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.io\/blog\/fnatic-overview\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"17\" title=\"fnatic\">fnatic<\/a> received a direct invite to the Playoffs Stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>blameF<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>fear<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>jambo<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>KRIMZ<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MATYS<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ENCE<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.gl\/blog\/ence-overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ENCE<\/a> is ranked 36th globally and received a direct invite to the Playoffs Stage. The team features Ukrainian rifler Viktor &#8220;sdy&#8221; Orudzhev and four-time Major Championship winner Lukas &#8220;gla1ve&#8221; Rossander calling the shots, making them one of the favorites to take home the gold. Will the event be &#8220;ez for <a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.io\/blog\/bet-on-ence\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"14\" title=\"Ence\">ENCE<\/a>,&#8221; or will they underperform? We can&#8217;t wait to find out!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>gla1ve<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Neityu<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>podi<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sdy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>xKacpersky<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>NAVI Junior<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As the academy team of <a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.gl\/blog\/natus-vincere-overview\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Natus Vincere<\/a>, these up-and-coming CS2 esports players are &#8220;born to win.&#8221; Despite being an academy team, NAVI Junior is ranked 35th globally by HLTV and 26th in Europe according to the VRS. They received a direct invite to the EU Series #1 Playoffs Stage and are expected to contend for a podium finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>cmtry<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>dem0n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>dziugss<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Krabeni<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>makazze<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Metizport<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ranked 38th globally, Metizport earned a direct invite to the Playoffs Stage. The Swedish crew features legends, including former <a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.io\/blog\/ninjas-in-pyjamas-overview\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"36\" title=\"Ninjas in Pyjamas\">NIP<\/a> players Nicolas &#8220;Plopski&#8221; Gonzalez and Hampus &#8220;hampus&#8221; Poser, with the latter leading the charge as Metizport&#8217;s in-game leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>adamb<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>hampus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>isak<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>L00m1<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plopski<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>9INE<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As our final direct invite to the Playoffs, 9INE is ranked 55th globally by HLTV, and 43rd in Europe by Valve. Danish player Rasmus &#8220;raalz&#8221; Steensborg leads the team, which includes the likes of ex-OG AWPer, Mateusz &#8220;mantuu&#8221; Wilczewski, who has some solid experience in top-tier events.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>bobeksde<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>faveN<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>kraghen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>mantuu<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>raalz<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Iberian Soul<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Spanish side Iberian Soul previously played under the Movistar Riders banner. While they showed promise for the event, the team was the first to be knocked out of EU Series #1 in Group A.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>alex<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>dav1g<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>mopoz<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sausol<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>stadodo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>SINNERS<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Led by experienced rifler Sebastian &#8220;beastik&#8221; Da\u0148o, SINNERS is a solid Czech side currently ranked 56th in Europe. They\u2019re embarking on their TWC 2025 EU Series #1 journey in Group D, aiming to secure a spot in the Playoffs Stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>beastik<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MoriiSko<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pepo<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SHOCK<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ZEDKO<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Ex-Aurora (Astrum)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.io\/blog\/aurora-build-abilities-and-matchups\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"215\" title=\"Aurora build\">Aurora<\/a> Gaming recently acquired the Eternal Fire roster, moving the old squad with IGL Evgeniy &#8220;Norwi&#8221; Ermolin as the IGL to the inactive roster. That previous team, now competing as &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hltv.org\/team\/13235\/astrum\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Astrum<\/a>,&#8221; is ranked 52nd globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>clax<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>gr1ks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>KENSI<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Norwi<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Patsi<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>ECSTATIC<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ECSTATIC is an exciting Danish organization, led by Thomas &#8220;TMB&#8221; Bundsb\u00e6k. They have already shown their prowess on the server, topping Group B of the EU Series #1 with a 2-0 record, earning a spot in the Playoffs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Anlelele<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kristou<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>nut nut<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sirah<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>TMB<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>CYBERSHOKE<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Competing in Group D of the EU Series #1, CYBERSHOKE Esports is a CIS crew led by experienced Russian rifler Aleksandr &#8220;glowiing&#8221; Matsiyevich. They\u2019re ranked 78th globally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>bl1x1<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FenomeN<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>glowiing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>lov1kus<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>notineki<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Passion UA<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ukrainian team Passion UA sailed past the competition in Group A of the EU Series #1, and we can&#8217;t wait to see how they perform in the Playoffs Stage. It appears that the <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PassionuaGG\/status\/1908112305033810098\">recent addition<\/a> of South African coach Tiaan &#8220;T.c.&#8221; Coertzen is already paying off!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>jackasmo<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kvem<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>s-chilla<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Topa<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>zeRRoFIX<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Dynamo Eclot<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Dynamo Eclot, ranked 48th globally, put up a solid fight in the Group Stage. Unfortunately for the Czech team, they fell to Rush B in Group B, eliminating them from the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dytor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>forsyy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>M1key<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>nbqq<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The eLiVe<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Fire Flux<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Competing in Group C, Fire Flux Esports is 98th globally (and 83rd in Europe). The side recently replaced S3NSEY with duggy, and they are ready to show us how well they can perform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Banjo<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>paz<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>duggy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ScrunK<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>soulfly<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Monte<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Fans have high hopes for Monte, led by Jack &#8220;Gizmy&#8221; von Spreckelsen. Despite ranking 80th on HLTV\u2019s charts, the organization has a history of making deep runs at our World Championship. Monte finished in 3rd\/4th place at the TWC 2023, and they\u2019ll compete in Group C of the EU Series #1 this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>DemQQ<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gizmy<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>hades<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>leen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ryu<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Delta<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Hailing from Kazakhstan, Delta gave it a good shot in Group B of the TWC 2025 EU Series #1, but dropped out of the tournament with a 0-2 score.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ddoni<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>dosikk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>dune<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>mixmeister<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>tsukumeow<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Sashi<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Competing in Group D, Sashi is a Danish team led by Oliver &#8220;IceBerg&#8221; Berg. They are ranked 76th globally at the start of the EU Series #1 event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cabbi<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>IceBerg<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lucky<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>niko<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Zyphon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Zero Tenacity<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Zero Tenacity narrowly missed the main event of TWC 2024 with a 2nd-place finish at the EU Series #2 last year. The squad, ranked 63rd globally, has advanced through the Group Stage with a 2-1 record in Group A of the TWC 2025 EU Series #1, earning a spot in the Playoffs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>aVN<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>brutmonster<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cjoffo<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>nEMANHA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>simke<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>RUSH B<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Russian team Rush B managed a 2nd-place finish in Group B of the event, securing a spot in the Playoffs Stage and looking very promising. How far can the side go? We&#8217;ll find out soon enough!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>executor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>kinqie<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>KIRO<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>tex1y<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>z1Nny<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>RUBY<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Russian side, RUBY, is ranked 102nd globally at the start of the EU Series #1, competing in Group C against stiff competition, including ex-Aurora Gaming and Monte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>fozil<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>H4SAN4TOR<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kaide<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>mo0N<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>sowalio<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>SABRE Esports<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Ukrainian team, SABRE Esports, exited the tournament after a 1-2 match score in Group A, following some hard-fought matches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>doni<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>hodix<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>jackast<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>MUV<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>neiter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Alliance<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The experienced Swedish roster of <a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.io\/blog\/alliance-overview\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"162\" title=\"Alliance eSports\">Alliance<\/a> shows promise despite its 112th global ranking.
