And with four regional events already behind us, it\u2019s North America&#8217;s turn once again to steal the spotlight. From Legacy\u2019s wildcard rampage to <a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.io\/blog\/9z-team-overview\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"19\" title=\"9z Team\">9z<\/a>\u2019s triple-overtime triumph, the road to Malta is still heating up! The TWC NA Series 2 runs from July 24 to Aug. 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Promising a week of unforgettable action, twelve Counter-Strike 2 pro teams will fight across two GSL Group Stages and a single-elimination bracket Playoffs stage for a spot in the Closed Qualifiers. Here\u2019s a look at all the teams competing at the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong> <em>Team invites for TWC NA Series 2 were based on the Valve Regional Standings (VRS) as of June 2. However, the VRS rankings referenced in this article reflect the updated standings as of July 23.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>NRG<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thunderpick.io\/blog\/nrg-team-overview\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"38\" title=\"NRG eSports\">NRG<\/a> enters the TWC NA Series 2 directly from the Playoffs, ranking 6th on the VRS after a dominant streak this year. They came painfully close to qualifying for the Closed Qualifier in Series #1, only to snag a runner-up finish to Legacy. After a solid victory at Dust2.us Eagle Masters Series 2, they return to the TWC NA Series 2 as a Playoffs seed. Ranked 15th on the VRS, their rapid progression is a testament to the incredible leadership of coach Lucid and the raw talent of their players. The all-women\u2019s Counter-Strike 2 roster has surged up the VRS rankings, defying expectations along the way. Their recent results are far from inspiring, but the team will be hoping to catch lightning in a bottle and shake up the bracket. With nothing to lose and everything to gain, Party Astronauts will look to make a deep run in the NA Series 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Party Astronauts\u2019 roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Ben \u201c<strong>ben1337<\/strong>\u201d Smith (IGL)<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Bogdan \u201c<strong>ogwizard<\/strong>\u201d Savula<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Diego \u201c<strong>sacrifice<\/strong>\u201d Camacho<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Austin \u201c<strong>Austin<\/strong>\u201d Meadows<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Kamron \u201c<strong>kmrn<\/strong>\u201d Manii<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Life\u2019s A Game<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>With little success to show, Life\u2019s A Game enters the event with hopes of rewriting the narrative. Ranked well outside the regional elite, they\u2019ve yet to pull major upsets. After finishing 2nd at ESEA Season 53: Advanced Division North America, they surged from 42nd to 30th in the VRS since qualification, making them a threat no team should overlook going into the tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Chicken Coop\u2019s roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Sebastian \u201c<strong>cbass<\/strong>\u201d Bentancor<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Gabriel \u201c<strong>Gabe<\/strong>\u201d Shah<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Caleb \u201c<strong>jchancE<\/strong>\u201d Davis<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>John \u201c<strong>mds<\/strong>\u201d Marin<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Alexander \u201c<strong>REKMEISTER<\/strong>\u201d Flynn<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Aether (Wildcard)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Aether is our first wildcard invite and a relatively new face on the scene. Yet, they\u2019re ranked 46th on the VRS, with their sights set on climbing even further. While they haven\u2019t made headlines yet, neither did Legacy before their surprise run in Series 1.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Aether\u2019s roster:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Caden \u201c<strong>arias<\/strong>\u201d Allison<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Aidan \u201c<strong>clipzera<\/strong>\u201d Swark<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Jack \u201c<strong>micro<\/strong>\u201d Ryan<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Andrew \u201c<strong>Tender<\/strong>\u201d Cote<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>John \u201c<strong>arcade<\/strong>\u201d Rogel<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Chris \u201c<strong>Jeebs<\/strong>\u201d DeSantis (Coach)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>MIGHT (Wildcard)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>MIGHT is our second wildcard invite and the lowest-ranking team on this list. Following a string of early exits at mostly C-Tier events, they\u2019ve slid from 48th to 62nd on the VRS between the time of qualification and now. Now, with only one regional event left before the Closed Qualifier, there\u2019s no room for error as only four teams can grab a spot in Malta.
