From record-breaking peaks to surprising dips in viewership, this year\u2019s multi-title tournament gathered fans from around the world to celebrate top talent and witness unforgettable plays. But which titles dominated the charts? We\u2019ve crunched the numbers to bring you the key EWC 2025 viewership stats across the biggest games, including Counter-Strike 2 (CS2), Dota 2, League of Legends (LoL), and VALORANT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Counter-Strike 2 EWC 2025 Viewership<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

CS2 has once again proved its staying power at EWC 2025, drawing in a peak audience of 739,992 viewers across its five-day run. The tournament averaged 351,393<\/strong> concurrent viewers, racking up an impressive 14.4 million hours watched<\/strong> across 41 hours of airtime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the numbers were slightly lower than last year\u2019s peak of 756,764, the overall watch time increased by nearly 40%, showing stronger signs of engagement. The most-watched matchup was The MongolZ<\/a> vs. Aurora<\/a> on the Final Day, followed by the Semifinals match between The MongolZ vs. Team Vitality<\/a> (718,181 viewers).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although favorites Natus Vincere<\/a>, FaZe Clan<\/a>, and G2 Esports exited earlier than expected, their presence still drew high traffic in the Group Stage and Round of 16. But in the end, it was the mix of international talent and Aurora\u2019s Cinderella run that made EWC 2025 unforgettable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dota 2 EWC 2025 Viewership<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s Riyadh Masters<\/a> proved that, despite being over a decade old, Dota 2 stands the test of time. Accounting for 37% of all EWC 2025 viewership within the first week, the tournament peaked at 429,568 viewers<\/strong> and averaged 169,164 concurrent viewers, totaling 15.2 million hours watched<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The most-watched series was the Grand Final between Team Spirit<\/a> and Team Falcons<\/a>, which saw Spirit leave with the $1 million top prize after a clean 3-0 sweep. Although peak viewership grew slightly by 2.5% from 419,244 at Riyadh Masters 2024<\/a>, it dropped from the 587,891 peak viewers set in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The average viewership also fell by 5.2% from 178,349 in 2024 and by 11.7% compared to 201,968 in 2023. While this decline partly reflects the EWC 2025\u2019s shorter airtime (90 hours versus the ~148 hours in previous years), the diluted prize pool from $15 million in 2023 to $3 million this year supports waning interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

League Of Legends EWC 2025 Viewership<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The LoL component of EWC 2025 pulled in 1.2 million peak viewers<\/strong> and an average of 472,542 viewers across 38 hours of airtime. This represented 18.1 million total hours watched<\/strong>, with the riveting Grand Final series between Anyone’s Legend and Gen.G Esports<\/a> drawing the biggest crowd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compared to 2024, peak viewership rose from 1,123,619 to 1,203,155 (+7.1%), while the average number of concurrent viewers dropped from 566,478 to 472,542 (-16.6%). This drop is largely due to the event\u2019s 72.7% increase in airtime, which likely spread audience attention over a longer period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Held from July 16-20, the LoL EWC 2025<\/a> hosted 12 pro teams from the LCK, LPL, LTA, LEC, and LCP regions competing for a $2.01 million prize pool. In the end, Gen.G<\/a> took home the trophy, with top laner Kim “Kiin” Ki-in securing the MVP<\/a> title for his dominant performance throughout the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

VALORANT EWC 2025 Viewership<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Despite also making up 37% of total EWC viewership in week one, VALORANT\u2019s debut fell short of expectations. The highlight of the event, which included a full five-map Grand Final series between Fnatic<\/a> and Team Heretics, peaked at just 451,943 viewers<\/strong>. That\u2019s a huge 60% drop from the 1.1 million peak viewers at Masters Toronto<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond that, VALORANT EWC 2025<\/a> attracted only 164,129 concurrent viewers across the ~50 hours of broadcast time, totaling 8.3 million hours watched. Most of this viewership came from English-speaking audiences, with key regions like Japan, Korea, and LATAM appearing disengaged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While the tournament wasn\u2019t Riot-sanctioned, EWC faced heavy backlash due to claims of \u201csportswashing\u201d by the Saudi Arabian state. This led to notable figures like TenZ<\/em> and Sideshow<\/em> withdrawing and even boycotting the event. In addition, scheduling conflicts with Challengers Japan and MSI<\/a> further dragged down numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
