The final participants have now been determined as the pre-qualifying leagues have come to an end. League of Legends teams need to first qualify by winning their respective leagues.  The system works similarly to say the Champions League in Europe, where the top teams from each respective league get a place to play in the tournament. The difference is that some more teams are then invited to go head to head for a place in the Stage 2 tournament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who is going to MSI 2023?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The tournament invites a total of 13 teams. Eight teams need to battle it out in the Stage 1 Play-ins. From these, three teams will then progress to Stage 2. The play-in teams consist of: Bilibili Gaming, G2 Esports, Golden Guardians, PSG<\/a> Talons, GAM Esports, DetonatioN FM, LOUD, Movistar F7<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stage 2 has, again a total of eight teams, five of which have already pre-qualified from previous LoL tournaments around the world. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pre-qualified teams this year are: Gen.G<\/a>, JD Gaming, MAD Lions, Cloud9<\/a>, T1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who is favorite to win the MSI 2023?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

From what we\u2019ve seen so far, it looks like JD Gaming are the favourites to win the tournament. They were one series away from a final appearance at the World Championships last year, so they are ready to give it their all at MSI 2023. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
