Worlds Finals 2025 Schedule & Format
Worlds 2025 runs from Oct. 14 to Nov. 9, 2025, following a familiar three-stage format— Play-In, Swiss, and Knockout—hosted across three cities in China: Beijing (Beijing JD Esports Center), Shanghai (Mercedes-Benz Arena), and Chengdu (Dong’an Lake Sports Park Multifunctional Gymnasium).
The Play-In Stage (Oct. 14) kicked off the tournament with two fourth-seeded teams: T1 from the LCK and Invictus Gaming from the LPL, competing in a best-of-five (Bo5) series under Fearless Draft rules. The winner (T1) advanced to the Swiss Stage and the loser (DRX) was eliminated.
The Swiss Stage (Oct. 15–25) featured 16 teams competing in a five-round Bo1 hybrid Swiss format, except for the deciders, which were Bo3. Teams with three wins proceeded to the Knockouts, while those with three losses were eliminated.
The Knockout Stage (Oct. 28–Nov. 9) adopted a single-elimination bracket with all matches played as best-of-five (Bo5) using Fearless Draft. Quarterfinal side selection was based on the better Swiss record, while the Semifinals and Finals sides will be determined by a coin flip.

Our Predictions For Worlds Finals 2025
Worlds 2025 has been full of surprises, with Swiss Stage upsets leading to an unusually volatile bracket where even “safe” predictions were upended. Now, with Gen.G leading the charge and everyone’s eyes locked on the Knockouts, the race for the Summoner’s Cup is finally on!
Important: These predictions reflect the perceived strength of teams based on historical trends and the latest available odds. This analysis should not be interpreted as betting advice. Past performance does not guarantee future outcomes. Always gamble responsibly.
Gen.G Esports
As we predicted, Gen.G (#1 GPR) is still heavily favored to make a deep run at Worlds 2025. After a 3-1 finish in the Swiss Stage and a confident 3-1 victory over rivals HLE in the Knockout Quarterfinals, the LCK giants now hold an impressive 87.8% win rate (46-7 record) and have comfortably booked their seat in the Semifinal.
At odds of 1.08 (85.37% fair probability) to beat KT Rolster, Gen.G are practically guaranteed a spot in the Grand Finals. Their outright odds of 1.5 (66.67% implied) suggest they’ll go all the way with little obstruction, powered by a world-class roster and meta that caters perfectly to their strengths.
Gen.G roster:
- Kim “Kiin” Gi-in
- Kim “Canyon” Geon-bu
- Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon
- Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk
- Joo “Duro” Min-kyu
- Kim “KIM” Jeong-soo (Coach)

Anyone’s Legend
Anyone’s Legend (#4 GPR) has been on a tear at Worlds, going undefeated in the Swiss Stage and delivering statement wins over heavyweights HLE (1-0) and Gen.G (1-0). While that alone proves their form is no fluke, AL’s Quarterfinals series against T1 marks a defining moment as the LPL’s last real hope of lifting the Summoner’s Cup.
Their clean macroplay and controlled aggression have earned them the third-highest gold differential (+144 GDM) and KDA (1.34) at Worlds, stats that mirror a tempo-driven playstyle and real upset potential. Odds of 1.72 (53.76% fair probability) slightly favor AL over T1, though outright odds of 6.00 (16.67% implied) still frame them as underdogs.
Anyone’s Legend roster:
- Li “Flandre” Xuanjun
- Lee “Tarzan” Seung-yong
- Cui “Shanks” Xiaojun
- Wang “Hope” Jie
- Kim “Kael” Jin-hong
- Wong “Tabe” Pak Kan (Coach)

T1
It’s hard to imagine a Worlds without five-time champions T1 (#3 GPR). The LCK giants narrowly avoided elimination, scraping by with a dismal 3-2 record in the Swiss Stage for a Quarterfinals berth—completely missing the mark of the team’s more dominant form in past years. Now, their upcoming make-or-break match against AL will determine their fate.
Despite a shaky run, the famed LPL killers remain dangerous thanks to a star-studded roster that includes GOATed superstar Faker and their enduring “Worlds buff.” But is it enough? Inconsistent play, drafting issues, and costly misplays from key players raise doubts. With odds of 2.00 (46.24% fair probability) and outrights of 8.00 (12.5% implied), T1’s path to a historic third straight title looks narrower than ever. With the dust settled over the weekend. Finally, someone is stepping up to SKT Faker’s Legacy, and that challenger is T1 Faker.
T1 roster:
- Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon
- Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun
- Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok
- Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong
- Ryu “Keria” Min-seok
- Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun (Coach)

Who Are You Backing At Worlds 2025 Finals?
